First Reconciliation celebrated with our second graders

On Saturday, March 26, our second graders from Assumption School and Faith Formation received the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. May they all be blessed with a new and profound experience of the forgiveness and mercy of our loving God on their first confession. God is love. He is always ready to forgive you.

Andy F. Earns The Light of Christ Scout Medal ...

The religious emblem "Light of Christ" and can be earned by scouts in 1st & 2nd grade. Over the past year Andy worked on completing
a workbook issued by the National Catholic Committee on Scouting. The purpose of the program is to help Cub Scouts develop a personal relationship with Jesus and come to see Jesus as a real person and friend. Once the workbook was completed, it was reviewed and endorsed by Fr. John and sent to the Diocese for final approval and issuance of the medal. As they get older, scouts can continue to develop an understanding about their faith through completing additional religious emblem programs.

M.U.S.E Band St. Patrick's Day Parade Performance

Zurian X, Cian H and Zebiu X participated in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in San Francisco. They played with all of the MUSE Bands. (participating MUSE schools included but not limited to Assumption, St. Felicitas, and Our Lady of Grace) Zurian and Cian memorized Lets Go Band. They walked the parade while playing. Zebiu participated as a banner holder at the front of the group.

ShopWithScrip replaces Benefit Mobile for easy fundraising

Have you checked out ShopWithScrip yet? All families should have received invitations via email on Thursday, 2/24 to sign up with ShopWithScrip in order to start raising money for the school by purchasing gift cards to use to pay for everyday items.

4th Grade visits BOD's Living Lab

Worm bins, chicken coops and transplanting, oh my! Those are things the 4th Grade students experienced on their field trip to Bishop O’Dowd High School’s Living Lab.
