Keira Kennedy, Assumption Class of 2022 and Bishop O’Dowd graduate of 2026, was recognized for her incredible achievement which represents a massive volume of work and a deep, multi-year commitment to community leadership. Her Gold Award project, "Curtain Call: Creating Accessibility and Empowerment in Youth in Theatre," tackles the root causes of exclusion in the performing arts. By designing a sustainable program, she has successfully opened doors for young people to find their voice and confidence on stage. Keira was also one of our first Drama Club students here at Assumption and worked for many years with our very own Karen Barbera, then later joined the theater department at Bishop O’Dowd High School, and is now spreading her wings in college Majoring in Theater Arts!
Earning both the Gold Award and Pinnacle Award is a rare accomplishment and means she successfully completed all three of Girl Scouting’s highest honors, this is an elite milestone achieved by only a tiny fraction of scouts nationwide.
