Dear Families and Friends,
Oh, wow! We had SOO much fun today during our Annual Fun Run. I hope your students came home today exhausted from a great Fun Run! They gave it their all enjoying the music, weather, and positive vibes. Our Class of 2023 led the classes in stretches and a warm up until the “Ready, Set, Go!” We have posted some great pictures and videos on our Instagram and Facebook Stories. Follow us here. Thank you to our families! We are at 120% of our GOAL! We are still accepting donations for prizes until next week! Thank you for proving that Together We Can Thrive! Students who have earned prizes for the Fun Run will be awarded their prizes after the fundraiser closes next week.
We were so happy to walk in the Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk last weekend at Crissy Field. Excited to be on KTVU Channel 2 News as they reported on this wonderful walk (look at 00:30 for our walkers). Thank you for your support and helping Team Marnelle raise money for the cause! We will have a final count on how much we raised for the American Cancer Society Making Strides event soon with a check presentation to Denis Ducey, husband of Marnelle Veira Ducey.
It is a good week when we not only encouraged exercise for our kids, came together for prayer, raised money for two great causes, honored parent volunteership at City Council in San Leandro, and created a community of learners from students to parents! Truly a great week!
Stay healthy!
Sincerely,
Lana Rocheford
Principal
