On Monday, October 17, Allison Pretto, Phuong Hathaway, and Erica Marr were presented the Award for Kindness by San Leandro Mayor Pauline Cutter. These great parent volunteers were nominated to receive their award for the 7 years of leading the St. Nick’s Boutique which has raised almost $50,000 for the Davis Street Preschool Hot Breakfast Program. The St. Nick’s Boutique is an Assumption tradition of allowing students to shop slightly used toys and gifts for Christmas. All the money raised has allowed the Davis Street Preschool for low-income children to fund a hot breakfast program. See the video and pictures below.
