Our Mission
We are Assumption Catholic School, a ministry of the Church of the Assumption. As a diverse community, we excel in academics and model Christ where each individual is safe, nurtured, respected, and treasured.
Together we pray
Loving God,
We come before You with heavy hearts as we hold in prayer the people of Minneapolis and all those affected by this tragedy.
Be with the victims, their families, and all who are grieving.
Bring comfort to those who are hurting, strength to those who are helping, and hope to all who feel lost.
We ask You to guide us as a school community to be people of peace, compassion, and care for one another.
Help us to respond with kindness, to lift each other up, and to trust in Your love that never fails.
May Your light shine in the darkness and bring healing to our world.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Hugs
Children do better when they feel better- and so do you.
Hugs help us feel better.
1) When your child is having a tantrum, try asking for a hug.
2) If your child says, "No," say, "I need a hug," again.
3) If your child still says no, say, "I need a hug; come find me when you are ready." (Then walk away.) You might be surprised at what happens.
Virtue of the month
The Virtue of Orderliness
Orderliness means: Keeping oneself physically clean and neat and one's belongings in good order.
Sacred Scripture:
Luke 15:8-9
"Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and seek diligently until she finds it? And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, `Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin which I had lost.'

Drop off for school begins at 7:45 a.m. All students dropped off before 7:45 a.m. will be brought to Extended Care except for SLT members who are supervised by the SLT moderator. Dismissal begins at 2:50 p.m. with gates opening around 2:40 p.m.
