We are Assumption Catholic School, a ministry of the Church of the Assumption. As a diverse community, we excel in academics and model Christ where each individual is safe, nurtured, respected, and treasured.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved friend and former colleague, Mrs. Thelma Dawson, whose kindness and dedication touched the lives of countless students and staff, and we hold her family in our prayers.
Eternal rest grant unto Thelma, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.

Focus On Solutions
Instead of focusing on blame, focus on solutions.
1) Identify a problem.
2) Brainstorm for as many solutions as possible.
3) Pick one that works for everyone.
4) Try the solution for a week.
5) In a week, evaluate. If it didn't work start over.

Dear Family and Friends,
It was so great to have our faculty and staff moving into their learning spaces and getting ready for kids this week! We have broken bread together, planned together, and played together in anticipation for your students. I am so proud of our team of educators and support staff!
Tonight, over 40 new families, parent ambassadors and parent leaders come together for New Parent Orientation! It was a lot of information but I am grateful to our veteran parent team as well as our teachers, vice principals, and office staff who rolled out our welcome mat!
Friday night, I invite our community to our annual Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Mass at 6 p.m. All our parish ministries will be present. And the most Rev. Bishop Michael Barber will be our lead homilist and celebrant. The Golden Gate Boys Choir will also be performing. Refreshments will also be served after the liturgy!
On August 23, Mary's Camp will be taking place at our Parish and is free for all children. Arts and crafts, prayer and fun are to be had for all. All ages are welcome. You can register your student by clicking here by next Thursday.
And Monday, August 18, from 2 - 3 p.m. is our annual Visiting Day for families. Parents and students are welcome to come during this time to visit the classroom, drop off school supplies and meet our school for our soft opening. Students do not have to wear uniforms this day. We just want to allow you a chance to visit and get to know us before the first day! Can't want to see you!
The school year is fast approaching and we are so excited to have you at Assumption School for the 2025-2026 school year!

Village Parcel and Post will provide Livescan services at Assumption School on August 27 from 2:30 - 5:30 to all new or unscanned volunteers for Assumption School. If you are a parent interested in volunteering at our Festival, on field trips, at class parties or more, you have have our Livescan clearance and volunteer training certificate.

Drop Off in the morning and Dismissal in the afternoon
Drop off for school begins at 7:45 a.m. All students dropped off before 7:45 a.m. will be brought to Extended Care except for SLT members who are supervised by the SLT moderator. Dismissal begins at 2:50 p.m. with gates opening around 2:40 p.m.
