Assumption Life: Volume 5/Issue 12 October 18, 2023
Our Mission
We are Assumption Catholic School, a ministry of the Church of the Assumption. As a diverse community, we excel in academics and model Christ where each individual is safe, nurtured, respected, and treasured.
Together we pray
Please pray for these friends of Assumption School:
Betty Jang
George Brandt
Danny O’Neill
Lonnie Ilmberger
Lord,
Please give me the strength to face the day and to see the many blessings that it contains.
Give me the courage to walk on, no matter how long the path or how many turns the road holds.
Guide my thoughts so that I walk in love and peace and with gratitude stamped on my heart.
Amen
Together we can
Routines
Help children create routine charts to encourage self-discipline,
1) Create routine charts WITH your child.
2) Brainstorm tasks that need to be done (bedtime, morning, homework, etc.).
3) Take pictures of child doing each task.
4) Let the routine chart be the boss:
"What is next on your routine chart?"
5) Do not take away from feelings of capability by adding rewards.

PARTY INVITATIONS & GIFTS
Please be aware that children’s feelings can be needlessly hurt when they have been excluded from a birthday party or have not received a gift. We ask that you make every effort to include all the class if at all possible. Invitations may be given out on school grounds only if each child in the class receives one and the teacher is notified.
Have a news item or event information you'd like to share? Email Mrs. Barbera at [email protected] with a short blurb (with links!) and a flyer (jpg or png, please) by Tuesday evening and it will be included in Wednesday's Assumption Life.
PS PDFs can be submitted but can only be included as an attachment to your news item. Thank you!
