This past weekend, our Assumption School 7th and 8th grade CYO Girls Volleyball teams showcased incredible teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship as they competed in the annual Breast Cancer Fundraising tournament hosted by St. Bede's. This tournament takes place each year with proceeds going toward the National Breast Cancer Society.
Both squads took to the court with immense energy, representing Assumption with pride. The tournament offered a fantastic opportunity for our athletes to test their skills against tough local competition before the start of the CYO season, and they certainly rose to the occasion. Our 7th grade team finished in 2nd place in the Consolation Bracket, while our 8th grade team finished 4th in the Champions Bracket.
A huge thank you goes out to our dedicated coaches for their time, leadership, and guidance, as well as to the parents and families who came out to St. Bede's to loudy cheer on our teams. We are incredibly proud of all our volleyball players!
