We are absolutely thrilled to share that Assumption School officially snagged the Best Float Award at this year’s San Leandro Cherry Festival Parade!
The city rolled out the red carpet for our community, and our float dazzled everyone with its creative and festive flair. We have a beautiful tradition of taking home a prize every single year, and it is entirely because we truly live out our school tagline: "Together, we can do great things!"
A massive, heartfelt thank you goes out to Liz DiGiacomo for coordinating and keeping the party rolling every single step of the way. And of course, Liz couldn't have done it without the incredible team of parents, staff, and students who stepped up behind the scenes. From building frames, prepping the booth, and decorating (fueled by pizza!), to coordinating with the parish and CYO so we could show a united front—everyone played a vital role.
Shoutout to our amazing Cheer group for rocking their performance, and to all our supportive walkers, riders, and the enthusiastic cheering section along the route. THANK YOU for making our school shine in our city's biggest event of the year!
