πŸŽ‰ Assumption School Academic Decathlon Success! πŸŽ‰

Our two Assumption School Academic Decathlon teams recently competed against 29 teams across the Diocese of Oakland and hundreds of teams nationwide in the annual Catholic Academic Junior High Decathlon competition, held locally at Moreau Catholic High School.

Students competed in a variety of challenging events including team logic and individual subjects such as Current Events, English, Math, History, Religion, Science, and Literature. Our teams were made up of dedicated 5th–8th grade students who have been preparing since November 2025, meeting every Tuesday and Thursday to study the source material.

We are incredibly proud of our decathletes and grateful for our amazing cheering team who came out to support them! πŸ‘

A special congratulations goes to Nicole (Class of 2026) who earned 3rd place in Math! πŸ…

The team will celebrate and debrief together during lunch on Thursday. We ask all team members to wear their Decathlon t-shirts on Friday, when they will be recognized at morning assembly and receive their certificates of participation. Families are warmly invited to attend the assembly.

Students currently in 4th–7th grade who are interested in joining next year’s team will be able to pick up a practice logic study guide before spring break in the office to work on until sign-ups open in August 2026.

Congratulations to all of our hardworking Decathletes! πŸ“š
