From Fr. John:
I pray you are doing well and filled with God’s peace.
This anniversary is more than a celebration of dates and milestones. It is a sacred moment for us to pause, give thanks to God, and renew our hearts as a parish and school family. Through the years, our community has experienced many blessings, as well as difficult and challenging times. For this reason, our celebration must begin with prayer—especially prayers for healing, renewal, and deeper unity.
I am inviting you and your members to be deeply involved in the prayer life of our Church, especially through our Novena to Our Lady of Lourdes for Healing and Peace, which started on February 2nd until February 10th at 6:30 pm. This novena will be a special opportunity to pray for personal healing, the healing of our loved ones, healing for our parish community, and the spiritual renewal of our church and school. Please see attached Novena Booklet.
Your presence matters. When you come and pray, you lead by example. You remind your members that before we plan celebrations or organize events, we first place everything into the hands of the Lord through the loving intercession of Mary, our Mother.
I strongly encourage each ministry and group to attend together, inviting members intentionally, and making this novena part of our shared spiritual journey during this anniversary. This is how our celebration becomes truly meaningful—from the inside out.
Thank you for all you do for Assumption. I am deeply grateful for your leadership, your generosity, and your love for this parish family. I look forward to walking and praying with you as we prepare our hearts for this beautiful anniversary.
To Jesus Through Mary,
