Catholic Schools Week - Socially Responsible Citizens in Kindergarten

Our kindergarten students recently shared joy and kindness through a heartfelt service activity focused on connecting with seniors in a local retirement home. With crayons and big smiles, students created colorful greeting cards and drawings designed to brighten someone’s day.

As they worked, students talked about being kind and thoughtful, carefully coloring pictures and adding cheerful messages for the seniors who would receive their cards. One sweet message captured the spirit of the project perfectly: “Nice to meet you. I love you.”

This simple yet powerful activity helped our youngest learners practice compassion and generosity, reminding us all that small acts of love can make a big difference. Through projects like this, our kindergarteners are learning how to be caring and socially responsible members of our community—one card at a time. 💖
