A Heroic Finale: Community Helpers Day 2026

A Celebration of Service: Community Helpers Day 2026

Honoring the People Who Serve Our Community

What a week! We wrapped up our Catholic Schools Week celebrations this past Friday with one of our absolute favorite traditions: Community Helpers Day. It was the perfect way to conclude a week centered on service, bringing together a variety of dedicated individuals who work every day to help our community thrive.

Our students had the chance to learn from those who keep us safe, care for our environment, and share their unique talents with the world. We are so grateful to the following guests for spending the morning with us:

Critter Quest, County Court Reporters, the Oakland Fire Department, Pallen’s Martial Arts, San Leandro Library, SFO, Alameda County Probation, Royal Ambulance, Assumption Parish, Ballet Folklórico de México, and Vector Control.

Whether they were learning a new dance step, checking out the inside of an ambulance, or meeting a new "critter" friend, our students were full of curiosity and excitement. It’s days like these that remind us how many wonderful people are working behind the scenes for all of us.

A special thank you goes to Mrs. Contreras, Mrs. Castillo, and Mrs. Rubio for their incredible work organizing this event. It is one of the most anticipated days of the year, and we couldn't have done it without their dedication to making it such a success for our students!
