Open House such a great day!

We are filled with gratitude for a truly successful and joy-filled Open House weekend, rooted in faith, community, and the incredible work happening at Assumption every day. Beginning with a meaningful school Mass, we were reminded of who we are and why we do this work together.

Our campus was alive with learning and leadership. Congratulations to our 8th graders as we presented them to the parish, and to our 5th graders whose work during the American Revolutionary War Faire brought history to life for our guests. Classrooms were filled with authentic student work across all grade levels, highlighting the care, creativity, and high expectations that define our learning community. Our Art Faire was nothing short of amazing — a beautiful showcase of student expression and talent.

We want to show special recognition to our Marnelle Vieira Ducey Scholarship recipients who were nominated by our teachers for the students' willingness to work hard, their ability to make others feel welcome, and the way they live our Assumption School mission. This scholarship was presented to Luka M in 7th, Lukas M in 4th, Gianna M. in 4th, and Griffin N. in 1st. They were presented their awards during our Mass from Mr. Denis Ducey in honor of his wife Marnelle.

A special thank you to our Junior High tour guides, who represented Assumption with poise, kindness, and pride as they welcomed new and prospective families. We are also deeply grateful to our teachers, School Board members, and alumni parents who generously gave their time — whether greeting families at the welcome table or opening their classrooms to share the Assumption story.

This Open House also marked an exciting moment as our parish officially kicked off our 75th Anniversary celebration. We are thrilled to share our new anniversary logo apparel, including polo shirts, crew-neck (non-hoodie) sweatshirts, and jackets — all designed to be uniform-ready. Presale orders are now being accepted through the parish office.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend so special. It was a powerful reminder that together, we can do great things — for our students, our school, and our parish community.
