News from the Classroom - TK!

Colorful leaves and laughter are filling Mrs. Sarullo’s Transitional Kindergarten (TK) classroom at Assumption, as students dive into fall-themed learning while strengthening their social skills. This week, beginning Monday, November 4, the young learners have been exploring the sights, sounds, and textures of autumn through hands-on centers designed to encourage teamwork and communication.

From painting to sorting manipulative tools by color and size, students are practicing how to share materials, take turns, and express their ideas respectfully. The activities combine early literacy, math, and science lessons with opportunities to develop kindness and cooperation.

The goal is to help children “learn to work and play together while discovering the beauty of the season.” The week will conclude with a Friday “Fall Friendship Fun” where students will showcase and celebrate the friendships they’ve built through their fall learning adventures through fun activities and centers.
