About the Feast
The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, celebrated on December 12, honors the Blessed Virgin Mary’s appearance to St. Juan Diego in 1531 on Tepeyac Hill, near Mexico City. Her message of love, hope, and unity continues to inspire millions of faithful throughout the world.
Each year, the Our Lady of Guadalupe Ministry leads the parish in a nine-day novena leading up to the feast, culminating in a joyful celebration that includes Mass, traditional music, dance, and procession. The celebration begins early on the feast day with Las Mañanitas—a beloved Mexican tradition of serenading Our Lady with songs and flowers at dawn.
Through their devotion and service, this ministry helps our parish honor Mary as Mother of the Americas and reminds us of her loving presence among us.
 ¡Viva la Virgen de Guadalupe!
