After a fun field trip where the kiddos saw owl pellets in the wild, the third graders got to dissect owl pellets in the classroom with the guidance of Mrs. Wolfe. She first put on a fun puppet show to teach them more about an owl’s diet, then she taught them how owl pellets are regurgitated to dispel animal parts that an owl can’t digest. They discovered what animals an owl ate based upon the bones discovered in the pellets. It was a blast!
