News from the Classroom!

Our first graders had an exciting and educational field trip to Crab Cove in Alameda on one of the hottest days of the year!

Students explored the shoreline, discovered fascinating sea creatures, and learned about the plants and animals that live in the San Francisco Bay. With the help of the naturalists, the students explored the rocky shoreline and searched for small crabs and shells.

The students continued their learning ion the San Francisco Bay ecology in the Visitor Center and finished in an old wooden classroom built in 1968. The day was filled with curiosity, teamwork, and hands-on science learning.

We are so proud of how respectful, engaged, and enthusiastic our first graders were throughout the trip—Crab Cove was a wonderful adventure that brought science to life!
