Assumption Community to Bid a Fond Farewell to Father Julius Almeria

Farewell to Father Julius

Two years ago, we joyfully welcomed Father Julius Almeria into our Assumption family as he began his studies at Santa Clara University. During his time with us, he not only dedicated himself to learning but also generously shared his priestly ministry, touching our parish with his kindness, faith, and devotion.

A priest of the Archdiocese of Jaro in the Philippines, Father Julius was ordained in 2004 and has served faithfully in parishes as well as in the seminary, guiding and accompanying young men discerning the priesthood. His journey brought him here, and over these past two years, his presence, kindness, and devotion have touched our parish in countless ways.

This past week, Father Julius successfully presented his thesis at the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University in Berkeley, completing the requirements for the Licentiate in Sacred Theology. Now, Father Julius has completed his studies, and it is time for him to return home to the Philippines. His bags are packed, and while he is excited for what lies ahead, he asks us to keep him in our prayers as he begins this next chapter of his priestly life.
