Hello!
My name is Ms. Hammond and I am thrilled to join your community as the 4-8th grade science teacher at Assumption.
I was born in Chicago but grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and I recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Neuroscience and Behavior.
Out of the classroom, I enjoy photography, hiking, and spending time outdoors, so I am especially excited to explore all that the Bay Area has to offer.
I was born and raised Catholic, and I believe strongly in the value of viewing the world through a lens of faith and compassion. The intersection of faith and science is a special one, and I am so excited to bring my love for science, curiosity, and helping students see wonder and awe in the world around them to the classroom!
