Our Parish Annual Church Clean-Up Day is happening this Saturday, July 26, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
This year’s clean-up is especially meaningful, as it is in preparation for the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Let’s work together to make sure our church is spotless and beautifully prepared for this holy celebration.
As in past years, the Environment Team is leading the effort, and we’re seeking volunteers to help for just two hours on Saturday morning.
Schedule:
- 10:00 AM – Welcome and prayer led by Fr. John in the back pews, followed by work assignments
- 11:45 AM – Wrap-up and pizza lunch with beverages at Mary Seese Plaza
- 12:00 PM – All supplies put away (a baptism is scheduled at 12:30 PM)
What We’ll Provide:
- Cleaning buckets, rags, gloves
- Diagrams of the church layout with assigned areas
- Checklists and pew-to-do lists
- Name tags
- job assignments and descriptions
- All cleaning supplies, including:
- Windex, 409, Swiffers (dry & wet), dusters
- Wood cleaner and polish
- Brooms
- Vacuum cleaners (please bring extras if possible!)
- Tall dusters (we need more of these too!)
Roles Needed:
- a couple people to help organizing and supply distribution-please let me know if you can help with this role
- Dusting volunteers
- Vacuumers
- Dry moppers, followed by wet moppers
Areas to Be Cleaned:
- Infant Room
- History Room
- Choir Loft
- Vestibule
- Bathrooms
- Entry to Nave
- Nave: Pews & Floors (we need at least 12 volunteers here)
- Sanctuary
- Priest Sacristy
- Environment Rooms
- Side Altar
- Mary & Joseph statues
- brass candle holders
- Outside Grounds:
- Mary Seese Plaza
- Gazebo
- Front Entryway/Stairs
