Up Up and Away! Rockets in 1st Grade

On Tuesday afternoon, a group of first-grade students wowed spectators during an exciting paper rocket launch activity, watched by some of our school community. The young learners led by Mr. Suwandi combined creativity and hands-on science by building their own paper rockets and launching them using a remote-controlled air pressure system.

With eager eyes and steady hands, each student carefully designed their handmade rocket using paper, tape, and imagination. Once their rockets were ready, they took turns launching them with the help of a safe and simple setup powered by air pressure. A remote control trigger made the experience even more thrilling, as the students had full control over the launch countdown and blastoff.

The activity blended fun with STEM learning, helping students explore concepts like force, pressure, and motion in an engaging, memorable way. Cheers and laughter filled the air as each rocket soared skyward, proving that even the smallest scientists can shoot for the stars.
