Assumption School did it!

Dear Assumption Community,

WOW! I am filled with gratitude as I share that our incredible Week of Giving raised OVER $31,000! Your generosity and support are such a blessing, and this final fundraising effort of the year will truly help us finish strong. Thank you for believing in our mission and continuing to invest in the future of Assumption School.

Now that the Hoedown dust has settled (what a night and guess who did her singing debut!), here’s what’s coming up as we head into a fun and festive May:

🎉 Tattoo Day – Tuesday, May 6

At morning assembly, five lucky students will get to tattoo five brave staff volunteers—myself included!
Then throughout the day, each class will be equipped with tattoos, sponges, and water and ready to be “tattoo a teacher” throughout the day.

🔄 Teacher Swap – May 23

We’ll update you soon on the day when we switch classrooms for the first hour of the day!

🌀 Spirit Week – May 16, May 20, May 23, May 30, and June 2

We’re bringing the school spirit with five fun-filled days!

Students will soon receive a survey with ten possible theme days (think Pajama DayStar Wars Day). They’ll vote for their top five, and we’ll celebrate in style. More info and final picks coming soon!

We’ve had an amazing spring, and it’s not over yet. Thank you again for your ongoing support, enthusiasm, and school spirit. Assumption is a truly special place because of each and every one of you.

Special thanks to our PTG Fundraising Chairs Zoe Lopez and Adriana Rivas who led an amazing Fundraising Committee and have worked with families, donors, and alumni to raise more over $200,000 for the school this year through our annual Festival (led by our Festival Chair Wendy Robinson), Fun Run, Auction, and Week of Giving.

These fundraising efforts go towards bringing amazing support into our classrooms through instructional assistants or specialty educators, providing enrichment opportunities like Collaboration Wheel and Maker Space, and making sure our school runs smoothly.

With deep gratitude,
Lana Rocheford
