Int/Adv Band Student of the Month
April - Sarah Rashid
We wanted to recognize our students' hard work and determination. Our selected student
for this month is Sarah Rashid. She has been doing Band for a bit and learning about the Alto Saxophone.
Not only is she a great person, but equally awesome student. Plays the saxophone very well. Part of that is
her curiosity and willingness to explore. There is so much to understand in music when you’ve been doing it for more than a year. We learn a lot about our students, but there’s always more. Did you know that while doing homework, Sarah will listen to jazz singers, like Laufey, and on her own time will listen to Pop
Rock artists like Chappel Roan. Very multifaceted, and it’s no wonder you’re a creative individual. We asked about her favorite flavor of ice cream, and this is what we got from her: “I only had this once, and it was at a restaurant, but Root Beer ice cream is the greatest flavor I’ve ever tasted. You can never go wrong on any root beer flavored treats”. Interesting choice from a great experience.
We also learned that she goes to Sunday School and will do homework for it on Saturday. On days she has off, she loves going out shopping or watching a movie with friends. Sarah is an amazing person both in and out of the classroom. Thank you for being yourself. We know you’re gonna go places and continue to soar high in all that you’ll do.
