4th Annual Week of Giving

The Week of Giving is a chance for us to focus on giving

Giving thanks for all the blessings that have come to us.  

Giving back to the school and this community.  

Giving time and effort to ensure that next year continues to be brighter and better than the last for our students.

 

 Our goal this week is to raise $10,000. 

 

Donations during the Week of Giving directly support Assumption School’s annual fund, the Together We Can Fund, which supports our teachers, students, curriculum and beyond.  Learn more about its impact here.  

 

For the 2023-2024 school year, we have asked all families to raise at least $750-$1,000 for the Together We Can Fund.  The Week of Giving is the final opportunity to reach your goal!   To kick off our event, PTG will host coffee for parents on Monday, 4/22/24 at morning assembly.  Join us to get caffeinated and kick off the last stretch of our fundraising efforts!

 

Here’s how Week of Giving will work:

 

Daily Activities: Each day there will be a focus activity. To fully participate, check your emails daily and check out Assumption School’s social media pages regularly. 

 

Parent Volunteer Hour Opportunities: During this week, there will be opportunities to earn parent volunteer hours by completing the daily activities.  Some of the activities include soliciting donations, engaging on social media, reaching out to Assumption alumni and thanking donors. Now is your chance to complete all your parent hours!

 

Unlock Fun Events for the Student Body: As we reach fundraising goals, we will unlock fun prizes for the student body.

Make & Match Monday - Make your own donation to the Week of Giving campaign and challenge someone to match your donation. Earn one parent hour for every $20 donated in your family’s name.

 

Tell a Friend Tuesday - Use our templates (parent and student) to send emails to ask friends & family to support the fund. Or send a text sharing the link to the landing  page.  Earn one parent hour for every five emails and/or texts that you send.

 

Spread the Word Wednesday - Like, follow, share, and post on social media. You can share the landing page to Facebook or Twitter! All week we will be sharing content that showcases our amazing school community - share these posts to increase our visibility and earn parent hours too!  Earn one parent hour for every post you share.

 

Throwback Thursday - Know an alumni of Assumption? Forward the landing page and encourage them to like our school’s Instagram and Facebook pages.  Also, use today to throw a little love toward those who have supported you.  Send a personal thank you to each of them for supporting our school.  Earn a parent hour for each alumni you reach out to and for every thank you sent.

 

Finish Line Friday - Follow up with all of the week’s activities to get us to our goal.

 

The Assumption’s PTG will be hosting a family night at the Castro Valley theater to celebrate our fundraising efforts for the year.  It will take place on Friday, 4/26 and will be FREE for all who RSVP here! Space is limited, get your tickets while they are available. Movie will start promptly at 6pm.
