Ms. Stewart comes with 35 years of experience in the classroom. She has worked in elementary and middle school as well as a resource specialist supporting students with different learning needs.
She loves to craft and use her hands in woodwork and paper. She loves to read and spends much of her free time in a good book.
"I am so excited about being the person who introduces our students to second grade. Second grade is a giant leap forward and I want to be the one who holds their hands and gives them the courage to make those next steps."
Ms. Stewart feels it is important to model any expectation and wants to create a classroom that feels welcoming, safe, and a lot of fun. "I want to model for them what I hope we will be for everyone else with good routines and procedures. We are gonna practice and practice and just get better. We are the 8th graders of the primary grades!"
