Gratitude and farewell to Ms. Meg Scherer

We are grateful for her many years as student, alumni, teacher and vice principal at Assumption School. See her letter below:

Dear Assumption School Families,

I hope you are all having a fun-filled summer! It is with a mix of emotions that I write to inform you of a significant change in my professional journey. After eight wonderful years of teaching at Assumption Catholic School, I have made the difficult decision to transition to a new role as the Instructional Coach at Lumen Christi Academies.

Leaving Assumption Catholic School was not an easy decision for me to make. This incredible institution has been my educational home for nearly a decade, and it holds a special place in my heart. Assumption's exceptional community, dedicated faculty, and supportive families have played a crucial role in shaping me as an educator and as an individual. I am profoundly grateful for the opportunities I have had here, and I will carry the memories and experiences with me for the rest of my life.

One of the greatest joys of my time at Assumption has been the privilege of working alongside parents like you. Your unwavering support, collaboration, and active involvement in your children's education have truly made a difference. Together, we have witnessed countless young minds blossom into remarkable individuals, filled with knowledge, compassion, and the values that Assumption Catholic School instills.

While I will miss our interactions and the bonds we have formed, I am excited to embark on this new chapter as the Instructional Coach at Lumen Christi Academies. This opportunity will allow me to continue making a positive impact on education, not only within a single school but across multiple schools within the diocese. I am eager to work with fellow educators, sharing my expertise, and helping to shape instructional practices that will benefit students in profound ways.

I extend my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your support and trust throughout my time at Assumption Catholic School. It has been an honor and a privilege to be a part of your children's lives, witnessing their growth and development firsthand. I will always cherish the memories we have created together.

Thank you once again for your incredible support and for entrusting your children's education to me. It has been an honor to serve this community, and I am forever grateful.

Wishing you and your children all the best in your future endeavors.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Ms. Scherer
