What a gift our parish received last week. Joy and love were felt during the 2nd week of Advent when Fr. Jude and Sr. Patricia joined the Assumption community. Both are members of the Dominican Order in which preaching and teaching are fundamental in their faith life. During their time at Assumption, they celebrated mass with the school on December 8 for the Mass of the Immaculate Conception and visited the classrooms to talk with the students about Advent and the creches they made for the parish retreat the following day. Fr. Jude and Sr. Patricia were a joy to have at our school and the students welcomed them with warm smiles and sweet words. Such a beautiful way to share in the journey of the Advent season.
