Volunteers and Donations needed for St. Nick’s Boutique!

For 20+ years, the Assumption community has celebrated the spirit of giving by raising funds for the Davis Street Hot Breakfast Program for low-income preschoolers.   This year, we are also donating a portion of our proceeds to Building Futures!  You and your families can support St. Nick's Boutique in TWO WAYS:

1)  The "Spirit of Giving" Virtual Mini-Auction.  Do some Christmas shopping at this weeklong, virtual auction.  Bidding will start at 8:00 a.m. on November 25, and close at 3 pm on December 1 at:

St Nick's Boutique "Spirit of Giving" Auction 2022

Payment and item pickup will take place after school at Assumption on December 1st and December 2nd.  We are asking for auction item donations – no gift is too small!  Then, join in the bidding fun – your Christmas shopping dollars will go toward Davis Street and Building Futures!  Bidding opens on Black Friday!

2)  The classic in-person St. Nick's Boutique will take place during school on Friday, December 2nd.

How does the In-Person Boutique work?

First, look around the house for 10 to 20 gently used items that can be re-purposed for a Christmas gift, and bring your donations to the school starting Monday, November 28.  We need gifts for dads, grandmas, pets, kids of all ages, etc.  If you wish to wrap your donations in clear cellophane for easy shopping, so much the better!  Drop-off is in the school office from November 28-December 1.

On Wednesday, November 30th, look for a special St Nick shopping list envelope that will come home in the family envelope (one envelope per child). Help your child make a list of loved ones whom they will shop for at the Boutique, and place the child’s money inside.  Your child will take it to the Boutique and pick out gifts for the loved ones on their list.  If your child has money left over, the change will go toward purchase of raffle tickets.  PLEASE NOTE: ALL change will be given in raffle tickets!

Want to Help?

We need auction donations!  In the spirit of St. Nick's Boutique -- NO GIFT IS TOO SMALL.

We will need your gently used items for the in-person Boutique - start looking around the house!  You can start dropping them off at the school office during the week of November 28!

We also need volunteers to help with setup on Wednesday, November 30 and Thursday, December 1 from 6 pm-9 pm in the gym!  The St. Nick Elves have lots of fun sorting and wrapping gifts!  Please consider helping out one or both setup days, as well as at the Boutique itself — St. Nick relies heavily on the Elves!  Childcare will be provided on Wednesday (Nov. 30).
