Reopening Update 11/16/2020

Dear Assumption Families and Friends,

As many of you have heard, the California Department of Public Health has changed its tier process and moved Alameda County and 40 other counties to the most restrictive purple tier in response to the continued increases of local and state daily COVID-19 case rates. As of November 18, 2020 at 12:01 a.m., all counties in this tier must conform to the State's requirements.

As per State and Alameda County's guidelines, any schools currently open for student learning can continue in-person learning including ours; however, Alameda County has paused any further expansion of our reopening plan until movement from the purple tier has been reported for more than two weeks.
  • We will continue to provide TK through 3rd grade in-person learning as per our schedule.
  • 4th through 8th grade classes will continue to participate in distance learning until further notice.
  • 7th and 8th grade will continue this week's scheduled socially distant events on campus using current protocols.
  • Families can move to distance learning by contacting your homeroom teacher and the school office.
  • Please refer to Assumption School's previous email regarding holiday celebrations and state guidelines.
Now more than ever, we must be diligent in our efforts to stay safe and commit ourselves to safety measures in our reopening plan that will help the Assumption School population remain safe and healthy.

With hope,

Lana Rocheford
