Saturday, October 26th was a beautiful morning in the Bay Area! We had 39 people representing Assumption School/Team Marnelle in the Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk. We had students, moms, dads, staff members, former students/parents/staff members, friends and our wonder Principal come together to raise awareness and raise money to fight this terrible disease. With your generous donations, pink and denim days, t-shirt sales (THANK YOU MRS. KENNEDY!!!!), and purchasing our Breast Cancer Awareness items (BIG SHOUT OUT TO THE HWANG AND ELMA FAMILIES for arriving early each morning to set up and run the sales for a whole week!!!)
Assumption School raised a whooping $2,724.37 for the American Cancer Society! THANK YOU ASSUMPTION! Special thanks to the Assumption Dad's Club for sponsoring bus transportation and big thanks to Tracey Zahradka for helping tie things up as we were winding down. Many thanks and blessings to all! Together, we truly make great things happen! - Mrs. Martin
