Our seasonal STAR Benchmark Testing window is during this time for grades K through 8! As noted in our school handbook, testing is an integral part of our educational program used to assess student growth and tailor classroom instruction to meet individual needs. Because these assessments are computer-adaptive, they adjust to your child's unique learning level in real-time, providing our teachers with valuable insights into their reading and math progress.

Tips for Testing Success at Home:

Prioritize Rest & Nutrition: Ensure your child gets a good night's sleep and eats a healthy, balanced breakfast on testing days.

Keep it Low-Stress: Remind your student that this test is simply a tool to show their teacher what they already know and what they are ready to learn next—there is no need to feel anxious!

Read Daily: Outside of assigned homework, encourage a habit of regular, quiet independent reading at home to help build stamina and vocabulary.

Maintain Routines: Providing a quiet, distraction-free environment for daily study helps children build the strong focus and time-management habits needed on testing days.
