6th grade Homeroom/Religion Assignments

GOOOOOOAAAALLLL! Think of a long-term goal and use the slide deck to talk about how to reach your long term goal. The directions are in the slide deck. Also I talked about it during my Loom for Day 6.

Watch the quick Loom and complete the assignment. Please note a copy of the chapter is in yesterday's assignment.

Take a look the review assignments below and complete. Then read Ch. 5: Showing Respect p. 32 - 37.

After class, complete the p. 16 activity (already in Google Classroom). Turn in all assignments asap.

We will be reading Chapter 4 tomorrow and completing the reflection questions.
Chapter 4 Objectives:
1. Examine the process of setting goals.
2. Understand the importance of inner strength to achieve goals.
3. See that goals are also important in your spiritual life.
Soooo, enjoy some of the videos I shared below to help inspire you for tomorrow's activity.

GROUP WORK: In your group, discuss the following problem:
Assumption School needs a new recess game that follows the following guidelines:
1. It has to be outside.
2. You cannot share equipment. Each person must have their own equipment.
3. You have to be 6 feet away from each other or 3 feet away if you wear masks.
4. Gotta be fun.

In your group, discuss the possibilities. ONE person records on the doc below and submits. Everyone else can mark as done. If you are absent: Brainstorm on your own and turn in one idea.

Read page 16 and do at least 1 - 2 activities suggested with your family this weekend.
Read Chapter 3 pages 18 - 23 and answer the Reflection Questions below.

Watch the Loom then complete the Content Review. If you want to get started reading Chapter 3, you can ... but it is Friday's assignment. You won't get the reflection questions until Friday.

Read Chapter 2 and complete the questions.

As you read the material from pages 4 - 8, answer the questions on the Google Doc. Make sure to use information from the reading. Use complete sentences.

Complete the We respond assignment on p. 124

There are people in our lives who help us to stay focused on loving God and one another. Who are some of these people in your life? How do they help you? How can you let them know that you appreciate all they do for you?

Please write at least one paragraph on how God has acted in your life. (If you are not Catholic, how has your religion shaped your life?)

Find a news article that depicts human suffering then right a summary of the article.

Copy the web address on the bottom of your summary.

For this assignment you will need to:
-Find a religion or belief system
-Find their story of how the universe/world was created
-Created a presentation on Google slides
-Slides should include your group's chosen religion story of how the universe was created
-How it is similar to Catholicism
-How it differs from Catholicism
-Presentation must consist of at LEAST 10 slides (including title slide)
