Welcome to 1st Grade!

A little about myself: I am a teacher, parishioner and parent at Assumption School and Church. I have two sons who are 5th and 8th grade students here at Assumption. On Sundays, you can find me at the 9am mass. Please come and say, “Hello!”

I came to the Bay Area when I was 10 years old as an English Language Learner student. I attended Archbishop Riordan Catholic High School in San Francisco. After graduation, I attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. I worked as a Software Architect leading teams to design and build software at Apple, Cisco Systems and Sun Microsystems. While working full-time, I continued my education further and obtained my Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University.

Along the way, I married my wonderful wife, Michelle. We made San Leandro our home, started a family and found the wonderful community here at Assumption. Being a part of the Assumption community inspired me to share my passion for learning as a student and to share my life experiences as a professional with students in my own classroom. I had a wonderful and rewarding experience attending Mills College in Oakland where I earned my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. During this time, I was also a student teacher in 1st and 5th grade classrooms.

In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my family and our pet cat. I also love to play Ultimate Frisbee; my club teams have placed 2nd and 3rd in the nation!

I feel so blessed to be a part of the teaching staff at Assumption School and I look forward to an exciting school year!
