How does the Boutique work, and how can you help?
First, look around the house for 10 to 20 gently used items that can be re-purposed for a Christmas gift, and bring your donations to the school starting Monday, December 2. We need gifts for dads, grandmas, pets, kids of all ages, etc. If you wish to wrap your donations in clear cellophane for easy shopping, so much the better! Drop-off is in the school office from December 2-December 5.
On Wednesday, December 4th, look for a special St Nick shopping list envelope that will come home in the family envelope (one envelope per child). Help your child make a list of loved ones whom they will shop for at the Boutique, and place the child’s money inside. Your child will take it to the Boutique and pick out gifts for the loved ones on their list. If your child has money left over, the change will go toward purchase of raffle tickets. PLEASE NOTE: ALL change will be given in raffle tickets!
Speaking of which -- the raffle is an important additional fund-raiser for Davis Street! Every day before school during the week of December 2-6, you and your child will have the opportunity to buy raffle tickets for one our many gift baskets! Take a look at the prizes -- there is something for everyone! One ticket for $1, six tickets for $5.
Want to help more? We really need your help with setup on Wednesday, December 4 and Thursday, December 5 from 6 pm-9 pm in the small hall! The St. Nick Elves have lots of fun sorting and wrapping gifts and turning the small hall into a winter wonderland. Please consider helping out one or both setup days, as well as at the Boutique itself — St. Nick relies heavily on the Elves! Childcare will be provided for one or both nights.
