Our Mission
Assumption Catholic School, a ministry of the Church of the Assumption, is a diverse community that provides K-8 academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment where each individual is safe, nurtured, respected, and treasured.
Catholic Environment
Assumption School encourages the spiritual growth of each child. The Christ-like environment, the respect among students and adults, and the daily teaching of the Gospel values helps all students grow in their faith. Assumption's religion program is supported by our priests through informal visits to the school and weekly liturgies. In 2006 Assumption School was fully accredited for six years by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA).
Academic Excellence
The students of Assumption are encouraged and expected to reach their academic potential each and every day through their participation in class activities,completion of all assignments and a true love for learning. Our atmosphere of respect encourages each student to develop a positive self-image and to grow in God's love and gifts. In 2006 Assumption School was fully accredited for six years by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
Dedicated Teachers
The teachers of Assumption are dedicated to the success of each student. Each teacher holds a California teaching credential as well as other advanced degress. All members of the Assumption staff are dedicated to their own personal growth for the benefit of our students and their families. Each teacher at Assumption "teams" with parents through goal-setting conferences, informal and formal academic and behavior conferences, phone calls and notes to assist in the success of our students. Carefully selected teachers and staff have created a happy learning environment for our students.
